Our durable, washable fabrics are crafted to withstand daily use while maintaining their texture and appearance, ensuring your furniture remains stylish and easy to maintain for years to come.
When considering cleaning options, check if your slipcover fabric is part of the washable collection, as these are pre-washed and pre-shrunk for home laundering. All other slipcover fabrics require dry cleaning to avoid shrinkage. Even washable slipcovers can benefit from professional dry cleaning for optimal care.
If ordering contrasting arm pillows in a non-washable fabric, their covers are not washable. Check the cleaning code for care instructions. Slipcovers with contrasting welts should be dry cleaned to prevent color bleeding. For arm pillows that differ in color from the slipcover, wash separately to avoid any color transfer.
Run a wash cycle empty before cleaning your slipcover to ensure there are no detergents or impurities. Plan to wash all pieces of the slipcover on the same day, but divide the body cover and the cushion covers into separate loads. Zip all covers to prevent damage, use the gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent, and remove the slipcover immediately after the cycle ends. Do not use bleach or bleach additives.
Tumble dry each load on low heat for five minutes, then switch to an air cycle for ten to fifteen minutes until slightly damp. Put the slipcover back on while damp to ensure a proper fit, and do the same with cushion covers. Stand cushions on end, rotating them every 20 to 30 minutes until dry to avoid water stains. Do not accelerate the drying process. This can cause fabric to shrink. Do not line dry as this can cause shrinking or stretching.
Wash your slipcover occasionally, as frequent washing can lead to fading and texture changes. Be cautious with darker colors, as they may bleed during washing and should not be washed with lighter colors.
